AUSTIN, Minn. – The Jennie-O Turkey Store, a business unit of the Hormel Foods Corp., has added to its line of breakfast meat options with what the company is calling its “new and improved” turkey bacon.
The product has improved taste and texture, according to the company, and improved packaging that features a zipper seal.

The turkey bacon is an addition to the company’s breakfast options, which also include turkey breakfast sausage links, turkey sausage patties and ground turkey.

The company has reduced the sodium content of its turkey bacon from 340 mg per serving to 130 mg. When compared to traditional pork bacon, the turkey product has 60 percent less sodium and 60 percent less fat.

The turkey sausage is available nationwide for a suggested retail price of $2.99.
