CHELSEA, Mass. – Kayem Foods has added Kayem Lean Franks to the company’s product portfolio.
The lean frank, which is made from premium cuts of chicken, has 75 percent less fat, 45 percent less sodium and 50 percent fewer calories than a tradition hot dog. The new frank is available in the New England region at retailers such as Roche Bros., Big Y Foods, Dave’s Marketplace, Johnnie’s Foodmaster, Trucchi’s and Donelan’s Supermarket, the company said.
"We're thrilled to offer consumers another option when it comes to franks," said Bob Kufferman, Kayem senior brand manager. "Kayem remains committed to providing great tasting, quality products made from the finest ingredients."
