Applebee's items New Orleans-inspired

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Applebee’s is introducing three New Orleans-inspired dishes and is bringing back another for a limited time.

The new menu items are Blackened Steak Penne, Blackened Chicken Penne, and Bourbon Black and Bleu Burger.

“It’s a flavorful trip to the bayou without leaving the neighborhood,” said Shannon Johnson, vice-president of culinary and menu strategy for Applebee’s. “Our guests expect exceptional tastes and great choices, and these new menu items deliver.”

The restaurant chain also is bringing back Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp for a limited time.

The Blackened Chicken Penne and Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp also are featured on the 2 for $20 menu.
