Ossian Smoked Meats files for bankruptcy

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Ossian Smoked Meats Corp. filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The company listed total assets between $650,000 and $700,000. The company's debt is $2.9 million, according to a report in the Journal Gazette in Fort Wayne.

The company, which sells a variety of hams, Canadian bacon, and gift baskets, recorded sales of $5.5 million in 2010.
