Sysco creates senior v.p. of marketing position

HOUSTON – William Goetz has joined Sysco Corporation in the newly created role of senior vice president of marketing.
"As we build a more robust marketing function to enhance our ability to differentiate Sysco in the marketplace, we are very pleased that Bill Goetz has joined the Sysco team," said Bill DeLaney, Sysco's president and chief executive officer. "Bill's depth of experience and expertise in business-to-business marketing will help us better partner with our customers, leverage our broad selling capabilities, enhance our market leadership position and maximize our overall ability to market Sysco products and services."
Before joining Sysco, Goetz was president and chief operations officer of global accounts and strategic markets at Cintas Corporation.
Sysco operates 177 distribution facilities serving approximately 400,000 restaurant and institution-based customers. Sysco operates numerous meat plants and its meat brands include Butcher’s Block meats, Fire River Farms ground beef products and White Marble Farms pork.
