Sara Lee to expand Missouri plant

DOWNERS GROVE, Ill. — Sara Lee Corp. plans to add a $3 million, 29,000-sq.-ft. addition to its St. Joseph, Mo., meat-processing facility that will result in adding up to 55 new jobs, the St. Joseph News-Press reports.
Located on 70 acres in the Mitchell Woods Business Park, the St. Joseph facility was built in 2000 and makes processed lunch meats and deli items under the Sara Lee, Hillshire Farm and Ball Park brands.
