Oberto! rolls out natural jerky

KENT, Wash. – A new All Natural Jerky line is available in grocery and convenience stores nationwide from Oh Boy, Oberto! Product is made from simple, all-natural ingredients with no preservatives or artificial flavors.
"Jerky has long been a popular high protein snack, but most products on the market also contained a lot of artificial ingredients – the big ones being hydrolyzed vegetable protein and corn syrup – so it really wasn't all that good for you," said Tom Ennis, CEO of Oberto Brands, parent company of Oh Boy, Oberto! "Oberto's new All Natural Jerky line is much better tasting, has an improved, richer texture and is a much more healthful option for snackers. It's simple – when you use more pure, wholesome ingredients, you get a better product with better taste."
All Natural Jerky includes beef, sugar, water, beef stock, salt, spices and natural flavorings, natural smoke flavor and vinegar. It includes no artificial ingredients, preservatives or added MSG. The new recipe marks Oberto's biggest product overhaul in 12 years, and was done in response to consumer demand for better-for-you foods, particularly among grab-and-go packaged snacks.
The line is available in six flavors: Original Beef Jerky; Teriyaki Beef Jerky; Peppered Beef Jerky; Hickory Beef Jerky; BBQ Pork Jerky and Teriyaki Turkey Jerky.
The jerky is available in 3.25-oz. packages for $5.99 and 1.5-oz. and 9-oz. sizes will soon be available.
