PLYMOUTH, WIS. — Sargento Food Ingredients now offers Portionables soup ingredients, which are individually quick frozen (IQF) pellets that are free of preservatives and designed for the frozen soup market. The viscosity of the pellets may be varied to allow for thin broths or thicker purees.

The pellets may be formulated as complete soups or added as an ingredient into a soup meal kit along with vegetables, meat and pasta or rice. A tomato bisque Portionables pellet may stand alone or be added to a medley of beans, vegetables and pasta in a minestrone soup kit. A creamy chicken Portionables pellet may be used singularly or added to shredded chicken, carrot slices and dumplings to make a stew.
