Tyson brings 'Burger Universe' to Facebook, retail

DAKOTA DUNES, SD – Tyson Fresh Meats is launching a Burger Universe promotion on Facebook centered on burgers for the grill. The promotion urges consumers to upgrade to Tyson Fresh Meats premium ground beef this summer through an opportunity to win a trip to Universal Studios Hollywood.
Tyson Fresh Meats Premium Grinds program includes Angus grinds, source grinds (round, chuck, sirloin), 91 percent and 93 percent. Launched on July 17, the promotion runs through Aug. 14.
The promotion includes point-of-sale materials in supermarket retailers throughout the US directing shoppers to the consumer sweepstakes online. Consumers can enter the sweepstakes through the Burger Universe Facebook page for the chance to win a four day/three night trip for four people to Universal Studios Hollywood. The prize includes airfare, hotel accommodations, four two-day tickets to Universal Studios Hollywood and $500 spending money. The promotion has generated interest from more than 400 fans within the first week of launching.
