Tyson pre-seasoned beef products set to launch

DAKOTA DUNES, SD – The new Backyard Flavors line of vacuum-packaged, pre-seasoned beef products from Tyson Fresh Meats Inc., the beef and pork business unit of Tyson Foods, will be available soon in the retail meat case. The line features ready-to-cook beef sirloin tri-tips in three flavors: Steakhouse, Peppercorn and Santa Maria Seasoning.

Backyard Flavors products are part of the company’s ibp Trusted Excellence Specialty Cut Meats program, which specializes in creating beef and pork products to meet diverse customer needs.

In addition to easy preparation and multiple flavor options, Backyard Flavors products feature leak-proof and clear packaging. While developing this new product line, research indicated consumers prefer clear packaging so they can see all sides of the product. The packaging also features basic cooking instructions plus a cutting guide.

“The Backyard Flavors line enables retailers to add variety to their meat case and meet the increasing consumer demand for simple meal solutions,” said Kent Harrison, vice president of marketing and value creation at Tyson Fresh Meats. “These easy-to-prepare beef products are perfect for busy consumers who don’t want to sacrifice quality or flavor.”
