OMAHA, Neb. – Omaha Steaks, debuted recently on NBC's reality series, “The Celebrity Apprentice.” In this episode, teams were challenged to write, produce and star in a live cooking demonstration featuring three occasion-specific Omaha Steaks meals and to create an original Omaha Steaks variety package. More than 8.09 million viewers watched this show.

During the episode, traffic on the company's website was more than nine times the daily average for the time period.

Omaha Steaks also hosted a charity red carpet premier party in Omaha in celebration of this event, where Celebrity Apprentice star Meat Loaf (Marvin Lee Aday, American rock star and actor) was the guest of honor. Proceeds from the event will benefit his charity, The Painted Turtle, a camp in Lake Hughes, Calif., for seriously ill children, and Omaha Performing Arts.

"We were extremely pleased with the Omaha Steaks episode of The Celebrity Apprentice," said Todd Simon, senior vice president, who appeared on the episode and judged the teams. "While each team took a completely different approach to the task, they both did an amazing job of making our brand come alive. We also were honored to host our screening event for charity and having Meat Loaf join us provided an interesting insider view that we all enjoyed."

Omaha Steaks markets and distributes a wide variety grain-fed beef and gourmet foods. It is recognized as the nation's largest direct response marketer of premium beef.
