NEW YORK – Serendipity 3, a New York City restaurant created the World's Most Expensive Hot Dog for the Guinness World Records consideration. Its "haute cuisine" version of its Foot Long Hot Dog — the Serendipity Foot Long Haute Dog — sells for $69.
The 12-inch beef hot dog is grilled in white truffle oil and placed in a salted pretzel bread bun imported from Germany and toasted with white truffle butter. It is topped with medallions of duck foie gras with black truffles and includes sides of black truffle Dijon mustard, caramelized Vidalia onions and ketchup.
