Applebee's adds three Weight Watchers items

LENEXA, Kansas — Applebee’s has added three new Weight Watchers-endorsed items to its menu, bringing the total number of Weight Watchers items to five.
The three new menu items are:
- Chipotle Lime Chicken — Grilled chicken breast topped with spicy chipotle lime salsa, served with Southwest rice, black bean and corn slaw and cilantro-tossed Applebee’s citrus vinaigrette. The chicken has a Weight Watchers PointsPlus value of 13.
- Steak & Potato Salad — Fresh spinach, red peppers and onions, tomatoes and fresh basil tossed in a Dijon vinaigrette, then topped with hard-boiled eggs and grilled sirloin steak, sliced and served over herb-steamed potatoes. The salad has a Weight Watchers PointsPlus value of 8.
- Spicy Pineapple Glazed Shrimp & Spinach — Two pineapple glazed skewers of grilled shrimp on white rice, served with spinach salad with black bean and corn salsa and diced cucumbers. The item has a Weight Watchers PointsPlus value of 8.
The other two Weight Watchers items on the menu are Paradise Chicken Salad and Cajun Lime Tilapia.
