Eckrich launches Angus beef sausage products

CHICAGO – In response to growing consumer demand for Angus beef products in US retail and foodservice markets, Armour-Eckrich Meats, a subsidiary of Smithfield Foods, announced the introduction of its Angus Beef Rope Smoked Sausage and Angus Link Smoked Sausage at retail.
The products are made with 100% Angus beef and are available in 12-oz. packages. Suggested retail price for the Angus Beef Rope Smoked Sausage ranges from $3.99-$4.49; and $3.99-$4.49 for the Angus Link Smoked Sausage.
Three other additions to the Eckrich “Naturally Hardwood Smoked Sausage” product line were also announced: two new varieties of Pre-Sliced, Skinless Smoked Sausage and Turkey Smok-Y Breakfast Links. Suggested retail price for the smoked sausage is $3.99-$4.49 per 13 oz. package; $3.99-$4.49 per 12 oz. package of the turkey smoked sausage; and $2.99 - $3.49 per 10 oz. package of the breakfast links.
