DALLAS – Former Dallas Cowboy football icon Jay Novacek has been named spokesperson and is responsible for building brand support for Texas Hill Country Barbecue Inc.

"It's not every day you get your first pick,” said Jason Ford, president and CEO. “We are very excited about Jay coming aboard as part of the Texas Hill Country family. Jay had an outstanding career as a Dallas Cowboy from 1990 to 1995, won three Super Bowls, made five Pro Bowls, the College Football Hall of Fame and is a local celebrity and NFL icon.” He will be the 'Brand Support Spokesperson' for THCB during company openings and events. This relationship will also include media promotions, radio/TV, personal appearances, and a position in the downtown corporate office.

Novacek will be involved developing the brand's growth strategy moving forward. This will include a corporate position, a seat on the Board of Directors, and media relations. “Above all, Jay is an outstanding person,” Ford said. “He has achieved great success, all while exemplifying hard work, character and down-to-Earth decency. We could not have asked for a better spokesperson for THCB."

Texas Hill Country Barbecue manufactures smoked meat products sold throughout the US. The production of smoked meat products, including brisket, sausage, pork ribs, pulled pork, barbecue sauce and other products, have been in continuous production since 1971 under various production labels.
