FPL Foods expanding Lexington plant

LEXINGTON – FPL Food LLC, an Augusta, Ga., beef processor, plans to expand its Lexington processing facility located near Columbia, South Carolina, adding about 75 jobs, according to the South Carolina Commerce Department in an Associated Press news story. The company, which opened its Lexington County plant two years ago, anticipates to employ 150 people after the expansion.

Corned beef hash, marinated beef steak tips, pre-seasoned frozen beef patties, precooked roast beef and pre-seasoned ground beef are made by the company.
