DALLAS – Wingstop’s same-store sales for the first two quarters of 2010 are up 1.5% over 2009. Thus, it has achieved 28 consecutive quarters of positive comparable store sales

"This is the seventh year in a row our numbers have been up," said Jim Flynn, Wingstop chief executive officer.

Ninety-five percent of the 447 Wingstop stores throughout the U.S. and Mexico are franchise owned and operated and the chain plans to open 50 more franchised locations this year, including the first store in New York and additional restaurants in Mexico, Chicago and Kansas City.

Based in Richardson, Texas, Wingstop operates more than 440 restaurants throughout the U.S. and Mexico. With a sole focus on chicken wings, its menu features nine wing flavors.
