AUSTIN, MINN. — Marketing officials with Jennie-O-Turkey Store, a Willmar, Minn.-based subsidiary of Hormel Foods Corp., have launched a health-and-wellness promotion focused on weight loss and weight maintenance.

The company’s "Be Well" promotion includes three, 30-second TV commercials scheduled to appear nationally during the broadcast of popular network programming. The messages address weight-loss challenges and obesity prevention and how the company’s poultry products play a role in healthy diets.

"The Be Well campaign underscores an idea that has long been at the heart of our product portfolio: that lean protein can help people achieve the healthy lifestyles they desire," said Cris Eide, vice-president and director of marketing with Jennie-O. "The new TV ads are just one element of this campaign, which also includes sponsorship of NBC’s ‘The Biggest Loser’ for the fifth time, FSI’s and public relations programming."
