PM Beef launches 'Retail Ready No Trim' program

WINDOM, MINN. — PM Beef is offering its retail customers a new line of products known as Retail Ready No Trim. Primal cuts from this program are delivered to beef retailers completely trimmed and ready to cut and tray for the retail meat case.
Labor costs and potential for over-trimming are reduced by this program, which improves the profitability of the fresh-meat case, the company claims.
PM Beef made the decision to offer the program after research was conducted with fresh-meat department managers, says John Hagerla, PM Beef’s vice-president of global marketing and sales. "The research results were gratifying," he said. "Managers reported that the Retail Ready program had improved both the efficiency and profitability of their departments."
The program is available in all PM Beef customized branded programs, including PM Angus Beef and PM Natural Angus Beef.
