A.A.M.P. elects new president, board of directors

ELIZABETHTOWN, PENN. — Tom Inboden was recently elected president of the American Association of Meat Processors at the 70th American Convention of Meat Processors and Suppliers’ Exhibition in Omaha, Neb. He succeeds Dennis Schaardt, Den’s Country Meats Inc., Table Rock, Neb., who will remain on the Board of Directors as immediate past president.

Owner of Inboden Meats Ltd., DeKalb, Ill., Mr. Inboden, served as the association’s first vice-president and treasurer before he took charge of his presidential duties on July 18. He and his family business were featured in the July issue of MEAT&POULTRY magazine.

Daniel Glier, Glier’s Meats Inc., Covington, Ky., assumed the office of treasurer and Jon Frohling, Frohling Meats Inc., Hecla, S.D., was elected first vice-president. Daniel Weber, Weber Meats of Geneseo Inc., Geneseo, Ill., was elected as the second vice-president (also serving as Region 3 director), and Tim Haen, Haen Meat Packing Inc., Kaukauna, Wis., was elected as the third vice-president (also serving as Region 4 director).

Newly-elected directors include Bob Filbrandt, Bob's Processing Inc., South Haven, Mich. (Region 3); and Kevin Western, Western's Smokehouse & Meat Market, Greentop, Mo. (Region 5). Wayne Beckman, Kensington Lockers Inc., Kensington, Kansas, is the new director-at-large, and the new supplier director is Kathi Jones, KOCH Equipment LLC, Kansas City, Mo. Sep Harvin, Harvin Choice Meats, Sumter, S.C. (Region 2) and Robert Dees, Dees Meat Processing, Galt, Calif., (Region 9) were elected for one-year extensions on the A.A.M.P. Board of Directors.

Continuing as A.A.M.P. board members are Charles Armitage, Uncle Charley’s Sausage Co., Vandergrift, Pa. (Region 1); Louis Sredy, LaRue Meat Processing, Somerset, Pa. (Region 1); Floyd Poché, Poché's Market, Rest. & Smoke House, Breaux Bridge, La. (Region 6); David Haworth, Clark's Meat House Inc., Riverton, Wy. (Region 7); Jerry Haun, Haun's Meat and Sausage LLC, Walla Walla, Wash. (Region 8); Greg Endres, Greg's Meat Processing, Hampton, Minn. (director-at-large); Michael Sloan, Swiss Meat & Sausage Co., Hermann, MO (director-at-large); as well as supplier directors Brett Walton, Mid-Western Research & Supply Inc., Wichita, Kansas; and Rand Thomas, Harbro Packaging Company, Chicago, Ill.
