Smithfield Foods' Brown Sugar & Bourbon bacon will be sold at retail in the fall.
Smithfield Foods, a unit of China-based WH Group, has produced a flavor of bacon to satisfy imbibers and bacon lovers. For a limited time only, the company is offering Smithfield Brown Sugar & Bourbon Bacon which is slated to hit retail shelves this fall.
Smithfield Brown Sugar & Bourbon Bacon reflects the recent rise in popularity of spirits, especially bourbon and whiskey, and combined it with consumers’ never-ending love affair with bacon. Arby’s recently launched a Brown Sugar Bourbon sandwich, while Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s unveiled a Midnight Moonshine Burger.
The product, which is thick cut and smoked in apple wood, comes in re-sealable stack packaging.
